Support for street children in Kenya

In Kenya about 40% of the population live below the poverty line, more than 300,000 of them are children on the streets.

The aid project Eldoret Kids Kenya e.V. with the Badilisha Maisha Centre, founded by Birgit Zimmermann, has set itself the task of giving these street children and young people a perspective and later reintegrating them into their families. Employees of the project also accompany the children afterwards and provide school and vocational training in a follow-up program. School fees, school clothing, teaching materials, etc. are paid for by the organization. An ambitious and important project that Oest is happy to support.
